Good morning everyone!! Today we are going to link you to the CBeebies apps. There are 4 different interactive apps you can download, Playtime Island which is fun games with their favorite Cbeebies characters. Go Explore app which has fun, educational games that have been made alongside the Early Years curriculum to help with school readiness. The Get Creative app, which embraces your little ones' artistic side without the mess (yay). And the Storytime app with lots of lovely stories to read.

Another easy sensory alternative to sand - Rainbow rice.  Obviously you can scale down the recipe if you didn't want to make quite so much (20lbs of rice is a lot!)

Things You'll Need

  • 15 – 20 pounds of white rice

  • White vinegar

  • Food coloring

  • Several large plastic bags

  • 1 large container with a lid to hold the rice

For full instructions follow this link! Have fun!!

As the weather is going to be glorious this week I thought we’d have some outdoor water fun. You don’t need expensive toys to play, just a washing up bowl, plastic cups, spoons, and measuring jugs. If you have them you could use an empty washing up bottle, liquid soap dispenser, and a sponge (or anything really you don’t mind getting wet). You could even add ice cubes and bubbles. All these things help with hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. You can of course fill up your paddling pool, if you have one, and sit and play in there. All these simple household objects are all great fun while out in the sun (don’t forget your sun cream and your hat).

Who loves a game of Simon Says? Here is a great list of ideas for the game (It's always hard to think of ideas!). Simon Says is a really easy game, and it gets children understanding and following simple instructions, learning body parts, and also having an awareness of themselves. Have fun!

As the weather is rubbish lets do an easy activity with things everyone has at home, baby wipe, felt tips, and rubber bands (You can find loads of bands from the postie dropping them, that's where I get mine from) super easy!

Easy peasy, no-cook playdough recipe. If you don't have (or can't get hold of ) cream of tartar (it's in the bakery section with the bicarb and baking powder) then just leave that out. Once it made and cooled it can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge and will keep fresh for days. Add a little more flour if the recipe is too wet or a little more oil if it is too dry. Have fun!

If you don't have (or you can't get) flour then try this easy cloud dough.

1 cup conditioner (any)

2 cups cornflour

Mix!!! Super easy. It doesn't keep very well though so once it's finished being played with it's best to throw it away
